This Embodied Experience is a wholesome mind/body cleanse and attunement curated by Letty Mitchell. 

This immersion is a space for space and self care.

By offering complimentary ways to build on our mind and body relationship, we will realign and retune ourselves to a natural state of balance.

Letty will be leading the day, joined by Ayanna, massage specialist and creative movement practitioner, and Lauren, sound healer.

FAQ

  • As a gesture, everyone who purchases a ticket will receive a FREE Yogi Bare Natural rubber extreme grip yoga mat RRP £68! You will be able to pick your mat up at the venue.

    Please note there are no Yoga mats at the studio. Feel free to either use your new gifted mat during the experience or bring an alternative.

  • Finding the Wayne McGregor Studio at Here East

    As the studio can be a little difficult to navigate, I would recommend a 12:30 arrival time to the venue. From the building, it will take another 10 minutes to go through the venue to Studio 1.

    Studio Wayne McGregor is based in the Broadcast Centre at Here East on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

    Enter the Broadcast Centre via the Steel Mill Reception and check in at the reception.

    All visitors to Studio Wayne McGregor must sign in at reception where they will be given a Here East Pass that will allow them access to the Here East hallway where Studio Wayne McGregor is located.

    Here East is a 10-minute walk from Hackney Wick Overground station. Nearby Stratford station connects with the Central and Jubilee lines, DLR and London Overground.

    The closest car park is the multistorey car park next door on Lesney Av

The Journey

1. Yoga

After our initial gathering and welcome ceremony, we will move into a strong steady extended Vinyasa Yoga practice focusing on mind-body coherence, energetic balance, and the practice of embodiment. Accessible to all levels of experience.

Yang

To move and be aware of how the body feels in motion is to train and deepen the mind-body understanding that it works best together. 

When the mind and body can vibrate at the same frequency and be seen by each other, they can bring out the best in each other for balance, harmony, and health. 

Yin

To be embodied is to be instantaneously given a depth of wisdom that you can use to navigate yourself through this world that doesn’t compromise your health, happiness, or self-expansion. 

To be still enough to witness the usually unconscious movement patterns within a consciously still body is to understand the power you have in breaking your patterns of reactivity.

To be able to self-regulate your nervous system through breath whilst being open to feeling the depth of feeling within the body is our way into healing, deprogramming, and intentional living. 

2. Meditation

As we go deeper we will practice finding clarity in stillness. Through meditation, one can continue to appreciate the dualistic nature of all things by noticing both the content in our awareness when our eyes are closed as well as the space that the content floats in.

Know thy self

To have a bird’s eye view into your own mental, physiological, biological, and emotional processes is power.

To be able to see our reactive nature, see the hidden content in our experience that we are usually unconscious of, is to understand why we act the way we do, think the way we do, and fall into habitual behaviors and patterns.

What are the subconscious blueprints held with us, and how can we learn from our emotional, and physical responses?

3. Theory

Integrated philosophy. Understanding the theory is often helpful, especially in assisting the body in shifting stories and expanding perceptions. Integrating the philosophy through a felt embodied experience is especially potent.

In meditation we will integrate the concepts of consciousness / quantum field, us as electromagnetic beings, us as vibrational beings, and the significance of presence that binds them all together.

4. Self Massage

The power of touch for embodiment.

Self-massage is your body's communication system. Helping to reduce any tension, stagnancy or anxieties that your body is holding onto through stress. During the workshop we'll tap into some of the emotional benefits of massage. Building a compassionate relationship with your physical Self and emotional being. Encouraging you to sharpen your intuition. A session that allows you to feel centred and grounded enough to release and let go of any emotional trauma you may be experiencing. Understanding the WHY?, this is so important in our own healing process.’

6. Sound Vibration

In an already high vibrational state we go deeper into the subconscious by slowing down the brain waves through sound.

Now the symbol of the body can be replaced with waves, and this is where we come back to the ocean.

5. Relaxation and nervous system regulation

At this stage, the initiation can begin...

The nature of our evolution means we are often too occupied with the vigilance needed to hide us from the next potential heartbreak or disappointment, to be open to the downloads/activiations/lessons possible in each present experience. 

For this to happen we need to feel safe, stress-free, and open.

With relaxation, our nervous systems can fall back into balance, and in that safety net, we allow ourselves to settle the sediment and come back to being.

    Lauren is a certified Sound Healing Practitioner who uses a selection of instruments to re-align your energy, including the Gong, Quartz Crystal Singing bowls, Himalayan bowls and chimes. After discovering sound could ease anxiety back in 2017, Lauren is an advocate for the transformational and healing benefits of sound therapy and how it can be used to empower individuals on their personal journeys. What is embodiment?

Embodiment is more than health.

Embodiment is the conscious experience of the body that allows us to begin a conversation with the present moment from a different perspective.

The purpose of embodiment is not to attach to the body, it is to open ourselves up to the wisdom our body gives us through its feedback.

To move and to be still, and to be aware of the body in both terrains is to stay true to our natural nature which is balance, harmony, and peace. 

Your mind does a lot. But your body does a lot too. It influences your life just like your thoughts do.

Embodiment is an art practiced to develop an awareness to the way the body is reacting to a moment,  and knowing that, if you desire, you can choose to change the vibrational landscape of an experience through open awareness and redirection of energy.

It’s mystic in the sense that at that level of consciousness, you are open to the synchronicities that will occur through merely existing, as you have embodied the power of your awareness again. 

But it is also in this land, in 3D which is respectful to the incarnation of your soul, your purpose and your boundlessness.

Letty and George invites you to join us in an immersive experience of mindfulness meditation, Yin and the healing vibration of sound.

Through breath work, mindfulness meditation, and Yin Yoga you will feel the blissful effects of slowing down, the power behind mind-body coherence as well as regulate the nervous system for a higher state of conscious awareness.

You will then rest deeper whilst bathing in the meditative vibrations of Gong.

This is a safe space for anyone with the desire to stop the fast paced momentum of the day to day, reconnect, realign and relax.

A space to practice the art of being over doing.

The event will be held in the beautiful roof studio at The Siobhan Davies Studios, Elephant & Castle.

The 90 minute session will begin at 18:45. Doors will open at 18:30.

Please bring a yoga mat. Limited yoga mats available to hire from the venue.

Please note that due to the stillness of the practice we would also advise you to wear layers or bring a blanket so that you feel snug and comfortable for the session.

This session will be a ceremony of enchantment. An invocation to our guardian spirits and angels to gather, a blessing of beauty, a song of gratitude for those who stand behind us, a loving call for those spirits that may dwell in waiting. 

 Samhain is a time when the Spirit realm is close, when the veils between this world and the next are especially flimsy, the presence of our ancestors is more profound and the channels for codes and messages bright and magnetic. 

 A potent portal of magnetic stillness to align in mystery and wonder. To crystallise our intentions and cast our spells out into the endless shimmery mist of the universe beyond. 

 A process of enchantment must involve all senses:  sound, ritual movement and touch, scent, taste, sight

 CIL will be casting a web of sound to capture your minds and your spells. Letty and Gabrielle will be guiding you through a ritual of presence and clarity, guiding you through ceremonial movement inspired (with gratitude) by Eastern yogic practises to attune your body to receive.

 The session will close with the poetic stillness of sound, with beautiful CIL.

 This offering is open to everyone, especially if ritual or ceremony is quite new to you. 

 The experience will always be poetic, whatever meaning you ascribe to the powerful energy we will kindle together.

Through breath work, meditation, Yin Yoga, and slow mindful movement you will reset the nervous system, shift stagnated energy in the body, and develop a higher state of conscious awareness. Tools that you can take and apply to life beyond the mat to create an overall greater sense of grounding, wellbeing and balance.

This nurturing practice will include the space to free flow thoughts on paper to give us more of an insight into where we are at, and offer clarity to our aspirations.

​In the awe-inspiring setting of Cranborne Ancient Technology Centre, surrounded by the beautiful Dorset countryside, Jaminaround offers this unique music and creative practice residential course. A stimulating program of workshops, talks and opportunities for collaboration, curated with the intention to refresh, to inspire and to promote holistic creative wellness.

Overview
The course is for 30 open-minded creative practitioners who feel they would benefit from exploring different aspects of their musicality and wellbeing in a supportive and stimulating environment, guided by highly experienced professionals. The course will cover; using your voice, improvisation, storytelling, the language of rhythm, keeping time with your body, the process of turning inspiration into creation, mindfulness practice, yoga and more. Days will be balanced between led workshops, group discussions as well as some downtime. There will also be an opportunity to work towards a collaborative group performance each evening.

  • Rejuvenate your practice and help manage your emergence from lockdown.

  • Explore different processes and expand your creative thinking.
