Embodiment + Ikebana Project
Supported by Ensō House
Ikebana artist Yulia PepperRose
Photographer Stacey Kassandra
I was first introduced to the beautiful art of Ikebana through Ensō House; a traditional Japanese practice of flower arrangement, where the beauty of the composition finds its essence in the delicate balance between nature and human expression. Seasonal flowers and other natural materials meticulously placed to achieve harmony and balance. The whole energy of Ikebana felt both deeply calming and grounding. Hypnotic even.
I wanted to play with the interconnectiveness of this art with my practice of embodiment. To see what happens without expectation. To trust in the way inspiration can pull places, people and ideas together to create something magical.
